One day, a Woodcutter passed by the Plane Tree and noticed its magnificence. He thought to himself, “This tree has grown so tall and strong. If I cut it down, I can use its timber to build a fine house and sell the rest for firewood. It would bring me great wealth.” Filled with greed, the Woodcutter began to chop down the Plane Tree.
